Here are some questions that practices commonly ask us:

Does the practice have real-time access to a patient account records?

Almost! We aren't impressed with standard reporting options out of practice management systems. So nightly, we extract all the data from the system and insert it into the Nobelus Pensio Technology. This way, we can provide reports that are meaningful and useful to you. So you always have access to data that is current through yesterday. Our reporting is web-based, too, so you can access the reports anywhere you have Internet access.

Do you audit our payments using Pensio from Nobelus?

We sure do. We audit all payments from your top payers (usually this ends up being 7-10 contracts). We use Pensio to identify appeals, and we work those appeals according to the rules provided by that payer. You'll be able to track all this information using the reports provided in Pensio.

Not every appeal is going to be paid, however, and in this case, we begin aggregating your data so it can be provided to your Medical Society, IPA, etc. in order to have that data considered in future litigation against payers. This is one of the points we'll discuss with you when we meet quarterly to review the state of the practice.

How does the practice provide claims to Articella?

On paper. We are a technology-based company and frankly, we would love to be able to offer an automated system to transfer these records. So far, we've found that this type of approach brings more obstacles than efficiencies. As a result, we are sticking with the tried and true method of superbills and patient demographic sheets for now. Clients who join our service can rest assured that we are constantly looking for ways to improve our processes, and this is a key area we are scrutinizing for improvements.

Do you also provide contract management services?

No, not per se. We request the contracts because it's the only way to know what you should be paid (and it's how we set up Pensio to audit your payments). We also provide many different types of reports and can offer insight to specific areas where your contracts are not performing up to expectations.
